Omega Guard
Coming soon For Australian security firms, their officers and their clients

Your officers, your control room and your clients, on one secure channel.

Omega Guard gives your firm a secure app for officers and the control room, a free client portal for the businesses you protect, and mesh radio for sites where the mobile signal gives out. Every message, photo and report is encrypted on the device that sends it.

  • Encrypted end to end
  • Free client portal
  • Mesh radio across large sites
Two apps, one system

One app for the firm. A simpler one for clients.

Officers on patrol and the businesses who hire them need different things, so Omega Guard comes in two parts that talk to each other.

For your officers and control room

Omega Guard operations app

The working tool for officers, supervisors and the control room.

  • Client conversations sorted by site
  • Shift chats and handover notes
  • Incident reports with photos, time and place
  • A duress button that will alert the control room and nearby officers (coming soon)
  • Mesh radio between officers on large or remote sites
For your clients

Omega Guard client portal

A private line to the security providers a business uses.

  • Free for clients
  • Connects only to the providers they've engaged
  • Guarding, patrols and alarm monitoring in the one portal
  • Patrol and incident reports for each site
  • Ask for an extra patrol or event cover in a message
Client portal

Clients join by invitation from your firm.

When you sign a client, you send them a code or a link. They install the portal, accept the invitation, and can message your control room straight away. Nobody can search for your officers or their rosters, so the only people who reach them are clients you've invited.

A business with a guarding company at one site and a patrol firm at another keeps both in the one portal, with each site in its own thread.

What your client sees

  • Your company name, their sites and your control room hours
  • Patrol and incident reports you've approved
  • Requests and quotes for extra cover
  • Nothing about any other client or site, ever
Officer safety

Help that gets through, even when the signal doesn't.

Security officers often work alone and at night. Omega Guard is being designed to help you meet your duty of care to people working alone under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.

Licensing and the law

Built for licensed security work in Australia.

Security providers in Australia are licensed by each state and territory, such as under Queensland's Security Providers Act 1993 and the Security Industry Act 1997 in New South Wales. Omega Guard is being designed to support your licence conditions, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and work health and safety laws.

Photos of members of the public are personal information. The app keeps them inside each client's site thread and lets you set how long they're kept.

We'll publish a plain-English privacy and security statement for security firms before launch.

Discreet by design

  • Lock screen alerts show a site name and nothing else
  • Fingerprint or face unlock every time the app opens
  • Our servers hold no key that can read messages or files
  • Australian companies' account details kept in Australia
  • Remove an officer's access the day they leave
Security

Encrypted on your device. Opened only on theirs.

The keys that open your conversations are made on your own devices and stay there. Our servers pass sealed messages along and hold no key that can read them.

Your device seals it

Each message and file gets its own key before it leaves your phone.

Omega Guard relays it

Our servers store and deliver the sealed message without being able to open it.

Their device opens it

Only the devices it was addressed to can unwrap the key and read it.

Questions

What security firms ask us.

Does Omega Guard replace our two-way radios?

It can sit alongside them. Many firms will keep radios for instant voice and use Omega Guard for reports, photos and anything that needs a written record. Mesh radio gives messages a path when there's no mobile coverage.

Does it replace our rostering or alarm monitoring software?

No. Rosters, payroll and monitoring platforms stay where they are. Omega Guard handles the conversations and the reports that go with them.

What does it cost our clients?

Nothing. The client portal is free. A client who wants the full Omega messenger for their own use can upgrade inside the portal for a personal subscription.

Does the duress button call police?

No. The duress button is still in development. Once it's built, it will alert your control room and nearby officers, and your control room will decide when to call 000, in line with your own procedures.

Can we see where officers are?

Only while they're on shift, and only if your firm turns it on. Officers can always see when location sharing is on. Workplace surveillance laws differ between states, so set it up in line with yours.

Where is our data kept?

Messages and files are encrypted on the phone that sends them and our servers can't open them. Account details for Australian companies are held in Australia.
